Here`s a sampling of what`s available in this weeks`baskets for CSA members.
Head Lettuce, pak choy, mesclun salad mix, rhubarb, green garlic, an assortment of herbs and a few other surprises!
My best guess at some highlights of next week`s bounty – chard/beet greens, peas and hopefully some spring turnips!
For those of you who aren`t members of the CSA but like to grab excellent organically grown produce from me at the markets – alot of the best stuff sells out int he first 15 minutes of market – so come early!
It`s been a busy week here at the farm, with the arrival of 50 new hens on Monday and the start of harvests. I`m also still very busy seeding, weeding, transplanting, mowing, and of course, cooking.
The Summer Solstice is fast approaching – find some loved ones & make it a meaningful event!
Here`s a few photos from the last week or so…

This is an excellent time of year to enjoy fresh salads, braised greens (try sauteed with garlic & served with a poached egg on top) and to enjoy all of the colours as spring shifts into summer.
Thanks, Mike, sounds mouthwatering! And we enjoy the pictures too. John & Sue
