So what do you do when temperatures seem to plummet mid August? Well, go with the flow. One nice thing about growing a diversity of crops is that even if the heat loving crops like field tomatoes, hot peppers or eggplant don’t seem”thrilled” with the weather, others such as arugula, radicchio, carrots & leeks don’t seem to mind one bit – they actually prefer this!
We’ve had a great run of broccoli this season which seems to be tapering off. This weeks CSA baskets will be filled with carrots, broccoli or kale, salad mix, tomatoes, baby zucchini & summer squash and fresh thyme.
Just a quick reminder to Collingwood CSA members, if the market ever gets cancelled to to lightning Ill have your veggies at 133 Maple St.
Thanks!
